Creating Bee Sweet
Creating Bee Sweet has been a personal journey for me, one that started two years ago when I was just 16 years old. I've always had a passion for creating unique and memorable experiences, and opening an ice cream shop in the heart of the historical district of Ancestor Square felt like the perfect way to bring this vision to life. Over the past two years, I've spent countless hours researching different ingredients, working closely with local artisans and businesses to source our ingredients and create a space that feels authentic and rooted in the community.
Most importantly, I've focused on creating an experience that is warm and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. Whether you're a local resident or a first-time visitor to the area, we want you to feel like you're part of our community and leave with a smile on your face.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain committed to our mission of creating value for others and supporting the local economy. I'm incredibly proud of what we've built at Bee Sweet, and I look forward to seeing where this journey takes us in the future.
My Story
Being a student entrepreneur has introduced me to numerous experiences and people that have led me to where I am today. Managing my parent's vacation rental house which slept over thirty people, gave me some
of the greatest experience in working and serving others. It is also where I learned of my passion for hospitality and hosting. Checking guests in and working with them throughout their stay, along with coordinating problems as they came up, helped me become creative and learn to work with obstacles. The skills I have learned from this continue to help me add value. This led me to my passion for hospitality and began the growth for Bee Sweet!
These opportunities have molded me into the person I am today, and have been some of the greatest influential things I have ever done to lead me to the mindset I have today. Through these different events and experiences, I have learned how to innovate, problem-solve, work with others, be creative, serve others, communicate effectively, and advocate for change within different organizations and communities. Bee Sweet alone has taught me some great lessons.Though there have been many struggles, it only makes the community Bee Sweet has already grown, even stronger! We are so happy to have pulled off bringing a historical place into a interactive, fun, and welcoming community where everyone is welcome.
Applying My Education
Studying business administration with a minor in entrepreneurship has been a major foundation for my value contribution. The skills and mindset I have learned through the courses and these academic journeys have been a guide for me. Entrepreneurship has not only inspired me to do something I am passionate about but has given me perspectives on how to be the most successful while learning from mistakes as I go. I have been repeatedly pushed out of my comfort zone through these courses, which have been a key factor in my success.
